Kejriwal makes bold predictions on Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Bengal election results

Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi's Chief Minister, recently shared insights from discussions with political analysts and experts regarding the upcoming elections. According to Kejriwal, the consensus among these individuals is that the BJP won't secure a majority in the elections. Kejriwal emphasized that this wasn't his personal prediction but rather the collective opinion of the experts he consulted within 20 hours of his release from jail.

Expert opinions:

Kejriwal highlighted that during his discussions, experts forecasted a decrease in BJP's seat count in several states including Haryana, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. He stressed that the BJP is expected to lose seats across these regions. Kejriwal specifically mentioned predictions that the BJP would lose all seven seats in Delhi and face a similar fate in Punjab. He confidently stated that on June 4, Narendra Modi wouldn't retain power, indicating that a new government, with AAP as a participant, would take the helm. He also reiterated his longstanding call for Delhi to attain full statehood.

Controversy over Modi's retirement:

Kejriwal stirred controversy by suggesting that voting for Modi would effectively install Amit Shah as Prime Minister, as Modi is expected to retire next year upon reaching the age of 75. This assertion triggered a response from the BJP, which firmly asserted Modi's continued tenure as Prime Minister and accused Kejriwal of spreading confusion. The AAP, in turn, questioned whether Modi would bypass the age rule he introduced for himself.
Reflecting on his recent imprisonment, Kejriwal expressed bewilderment over his incarceration, attributing it to his efforts in building schools and healthcare facilities in Delhi. He lamented the lack of medical attention during his time in Tihar Jail and accused political opponents of attempting to destabilize the Delhi government.
